Cutting stock top and bottom surfaces efficiently and economically is easy with the all new CT-400D Double
Surface Planer. An innovative unit designed for handling two surface cuts in one feed, the CT-400D has simplified
construction, and gives extremely fine surface cuts with minimum trouble. It provides heavy duty cutting capacity
of 8mm thickness for stock width below 5", and 5mm thickness for stock width over 5".Anti-kickback fingers are
provided for added safety. An interlock safety device controls top and bottom cutter head starting. 4 castors
under the stand provide easy mobility. Maximum stability is achieved through the unit's rugged construction and
large table.

 DUST HOOD
Both top and bottom cutter heads are provided with dust hoods for connection to the dust collector. Dust
hood outlets are 4" in diameter.

 RUGGED COLUMNS
The 4 columns are manufactured from ductile iron and precision ground, providing maximum rigidity and stability
for heavy duty planning.

 EXTRA LARGE BED
The heavy duty cast iron table is precision ground. The large table measures 16" x 48" and table extensions are
provided at the front and rear for extra support for large work pieces. The bottom cutter head knives are easy
to adjust for leveling with the out-feed table.

 TOP AND BOTTOM CUTTER HEADS
The top and bottom cutter heads are fitted with 3 H.S.S. knives with a running speed of 5000 RPM, providing 15,000
cuts per minute. The cutter heads are precision ground, and run on high precision bearings for accurate cutting. The
inner distance between the spiral steel in-feed roller and rubber coated out-feed roller is 6" (150mm).

 TWO-SPEED GEAR BOX
The feed rollers are driven by a gear box incorporated with chains, producing a powerful feeding effect. Feed
speeds can be changed by using a lever on the gear box. The gear box is oil-bath lubricated, for smooth running.

 INFEED TABLE
The in-feed table is adjustable so you can control the amount of material removed, and has two positive stops
for accurate leveling and to prevent overloading the cutter.
